As a part of the brighton fringe festival i was able to exprience the figures libres french interactive exprience. 

starts with these words: who are we, who are you, who am I? 

Eternal and existential questioning that expects no answer but that feeds the unique path of each being, individual and returns us to the complex notion of identity. 
How do we define it? What shapes our personality? 
Figures Free evokes the notion of identity in its polysemic dimension by a series of tables that collide in a fragmented journey. 

My test work on fuction project, there isn

i start this projcet looking close to home, so thought of recoding my flatmates then i had very briefly planed to animate them . i got this idea from watching creature comforts , a tv series interviewing people on day to day topics and then animating plasticine animals.

in class we discussed ideas so far and my tutor referred to, 2 Into 1 by  gillian wearing, which had the same notion but had a very different feel to the out come. my tutor all so gave me the time to thing more clearly about how i would plan my idea, and think about what would be the outcome, what is it that i want the audience to take from my work? it’s might sound silly but what my tutor said , almost completly reasserted my way of thinking, it seems for some reason i haven’t been working with this mind set for a long time. 

 i’ve been watching documentaries on 4oD mainly more to do with the theme of police and storys re-enactments

finally been able to use the dark room

in the dark room we used a machine that does the whole process within 90 seconds, an easier  but less exterminative way to achieve a quicker and more accurate result

plan for work: Fiction 

brief ideas :
complete a  one min clip of animation. use the girl with long hair as a starting point move her round using the rotoscoping technique then try and find a naritve, she could be going into a river that turns upside-down into the ground water flashes over her and she walks off. realise this is hardly a narrative but feel this idea would be a aesthetically pleasing to watch

  or she could be given birth too and then she finds some connections with that experience in the story but something goes terribly wrong. 

look up at the sky grim weather moves the clouds away with her breath 

she multiplys  into lots of herself  but there in a box or in a house or rabbit hole.(these concepts give a related aspect with alice in wonder land and gives the viewer something to connect  the story with) Then they all try and find away of escaping then at the last minute one finds a gap in the corner and looks through it, you can see her hair peeking  through the other side, she’s picking at it and finally gets a grip of it. theres a sucking force pulling on the piece  she tried opening and with the help of herselfs, on the other side you can see all the finger tips scratching the edges. they pull it open and the suction pulls them all through a windy tube, you see parts of clips where there trying to clamber onto one another by there toes and hair and finally the gently plop from the sky and clamber to there feet. through this film, we would have followed the original girls journy and as she stands up and the camera views the landscape with her. you can see, in the distance a twin falling onto a  cow * moooo*  the end 

could relate it to childhood ideas of this, for example, thinking you can get pregnant through  a boy touching your belly button
